Makati leads 9th National Day Celebration
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay led the 9th National Day Celebration with five ambassadors of Makati-based embassies celebrating their independence and foundation day this month. The event aims to strengthen cultural ties and foster mutual understanding between the Philippines and other countries.
Mayor Abby Binay emphasized the importance of collaboration and linkages in promoting cultural exchange and knowledge transfer. The mayor expressed her gratitude to the ambassadors for their participation in the celebration, which signifies their commitment to strengthening the ties between their respective countries and the Philippines.
Present during the event were Ambassador F.M. Borhan Uddin of the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ambassador Ioannis Pediotis of the Embassy of Greece, Ambassador Alireza Tootoonchian of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ambassador William John Carlos of the Embassy of Ireland, and Ambassador Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Kazi of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The celebration showcased the unique cultures of the participating countries through various cultural performances, traditional clothing, and cuisine. The event also provided an opportunity for guests to interact with the ambassadors and embassy officials to further understand their respective countries' customs and traditions.
