Makati clears sidewalk of obstructions
In response to the concerns of the citizens about illegal vendors and other obstructions along the sidewalks, the Department of Environmental Services and Makati Action Center conducted a massive sidewalk clearing operation in several barangays on Friday, March 3. The operation covered Barangays Pembo, Pio del Pilar, West Rembo, and East Rembo.
The initiative was led by the city's Mayor Abby Binay, who reminded everyone to be disciplined and responsible citizens by following the rules and regulations when using the city's roads and sidewalks.
The clearing operations aimed to make the sidewalks accessible to all residents and to promote a safe and orderly community. The initiative is part of the city government's ongoing efforts to address the concerns and complaints of its constituents.
The campaign was well-received by the residents, who expressed their appreciation for the city's efforts in keeping the streets clean and safe. The local government urged everyone to support the initiative and cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the city's sidewalks.
