46 Makati households under lockdown
Makati City placed 46 households under granular lockdown in Barangay Pio del Pilar, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Michael “Don” Camiña, Makati City spokesperson, said the city has cleared 88 households in the said barangay after all dwelling in the said households tested negative for COVID-19.
“Still the same areas in Barangay Pio del Pilar but limited to those who were tested positive for COVID-19 na lang,” he said when asked if there were other areas currently on granular lockdown in Makati.
He said that individuals residing in the 46 households are required to stay inside their homes for 14 days until they test negative for COVID-19.
Camiña said even Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) in households that are still on granular lockdown in Barangay Pio del Pilar are prohibited to go outside their homes.
On March 13, Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay placed two zones in Barangay Pio del Pilar under a three-day lockdown, from March 13 to March 16, to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Based on the data of the Makati Health Department (MHD), the city has 1,006 active cases of COVID-19 as of March 19.
The National Capital Region (NCR) continues to experience an increase in COVID-19 cases with a total of 36, 877 active cases as of March 19.
